❄️ Finding Calm in the Christmas Rush
The holidays sparkle with joy, but they can also whirl us into busy days and endless lists. At Foxglove Hollow, we believe in pausing to savor the season — lighting a candle, sipping something warm, or simply taking a deep breath by the glow of the tree.
Even the smallest moments of calm can feel like gifts: a quiet evening with a favorite book, a gentle walk in the crisp winter air, or a few minutes of stillness surrounded by twinkle lights.
This December, may you find pockets of peace tucked between the celebrations — reminders that the magic of Christmas shines brightest when we slow down to enjoy it.
Here are some tips to finding the Joy despite the rush of the holidays:
– Don’t overschedule yourself. You don’t have to accept every invitation or be the queen of Christmas. If you are finding yourself drained and not able to enjoy any of the things you’re doing, look for some time to carve out for yourself and plan something that will bring you joy. Maybe that’s having a game night with your family or getting fast food instead of cooking. Maybe it’s planning a movie night, eating popcorn and watching your favorite Christmas movie. Whatever it is that will bring you a calm and clear mind and soul, make it a priority. Your heart and mind will thank you for it!
– Honor your limits. Say no kindly when your energy or time feels stretched too thin
– Keep it simple! Feeling overwhelmed with all the to-dos on your list? See where you can simplify and go from there!
– Make a priority list. If there’s so much that you don’t know where to start, sit down and write out an idea dump. From there, look at what needs to happen first, and put that at the top of your list. Cross out anything that is extra that you don’t have the capacity for. Plan out your list by priority, and then day by day. It will make your list more manageable and less stressful.

🕯 Candle Care Tips for a Magical Glow
This time of year is when we revisit all the nostalgic memories and scents of the season. With Candle Day being last weekend, I thought now would be an opportunity to share some best care practice when it comes to candles.
🕯 First Burn Matters – Let your candle burn until the wax melts evenly across the surface (usually 2–3 hours). This prevents tunneling and ensures a long, even life.
🕯 Trim the Wick – Keep the wick trimmed to about ¼ inch before each burn. A shorter wick means a steadier flame, less smoke, and more enchantment.
🕯 Safe Surroundings – Place candles on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, pets, and little hands. A calm space makes for a calm flame.
🕯 Don’t Overdo It – Limit each burn to 4 hours at a time. This protects the fragrance and keeps the wax from overheating.
🕯 Extinguish with Care – Snuff out the flame gently with a candle snuffer or by dipping the wick into melted wax, then straightening it. This avoids smoke and keeps the wick primed for the next glow.
🕯 Store Wisely – Keep candles covered or in a cool, dry place when not in use. This preserves their scent and keeps dust away.

Dates to remember!
Our last day to shop before Christmas will be Tuesday, December 23rd. The boutique will be closed December 24th–26th so we can enjoy some much‑needed family time. ✨ We wish you the Merriest Christmas!
We’ll reopen on Saturday, December 27th at 10am — the perfect day to stop in for after‑Christmas shopping, discover new treasures, and put those gift cards to good use. 🎁
Looking ahead, we’ll be closed for New Year’s on December 31st, January 1st & 2nd. I’ll be cracking open my stack of planners (yes, more than one!) and mapping out a magical start to 2026.
